NCAA Men's Volleyball Tournament History
The following table is a summary of all of the teams that have played in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men's volleyball tournament since its inception in 1970. Click on one of the years to see a listing of the teams that played in the tournament for that year or click on one of the table headings to sort the teams by that category. Click on a team's name to view how that team has done in its years of competition. NOTE: Prior to 1996, a third-place match was played resulting in a third- and fourth-place finisher. The playing of the third-place match ended in 1996 and since then, third place has been awarded to the two semifinalists that do not advance to the championship match.
